Job summary

Boyd Technologies (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking an Assistant Engineer to design FA projects, including tooling, artwork, material and process. You will provide technical support and assist with the design, development and evaluation of processes and products, working alongside other Engineers.

You will draft tooling and artwork drawings, liaise with suppliers, and coordinate FA runs with report submissions, while collaborating with Engineers and Operators to develop test jigs and inspect

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering or related field with at least 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Independent and able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; 3D modelling software such as Pro/Engineer.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and critical-thinking skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities across cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to work overtime and hands-on prototype work.
• Fresh graduates welcome, training provided.

Responsibilities

About the role

As an Assistant Engineer at Boyd Technologies (Singapore) Pte Ltd, you will be responsible for design of FA project inclusive of tooling, artwork, material and process. Providing technical support and assisting with the design, development and evaluation of process and products, working alongside other Engineers.

What you'll be doing

• Design of FA project inclusive of tooling, artwork, material and process.
• Draft drawing for making of tooling and artwork.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding the making of tooling and artwork.
• Co-ordinate FA run with FA report submission.
• Collaborating with other Engineers and Operators to develop and fabricate test jig/tool for testing the functionality of the finished product and engineering processes.
• Performing regular inspections of equipments and schedule maintenance repairs, maintain all test jig/ tool used in production.
• Perform product failure analysis, as well as reduce cost through yield improvement, cycle time reduction and process enhancement.
• Understanding and carrying out all tasks given by the Engineers / Managers.
• Any other task assigned by Superior.

What we're looking for

• Minimum Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering or a related field with at least 2-year(s) experience in a Manufacturing environment
• Independent, able to work under pressure with minimum supervision
• Well verse with Microsoft application such as Excel, Words and Power Point, knowledge of 3D modelling software such as Pro/Engineer.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
• Must be a self-motivated team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• Able to work overtime and hands-on prototype.
• Fresh graduates are welcome, training provided.
