The Assistant Operations Manager is responsible for supporting and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring smooth execution of tasks, adherence to procedures, and alignment with company goals. The role includes managing teams, coordinating logistics, and maintaining operational standards across diving, vessel, and project activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and ensure daily operational goals are met, with all procedures properly implemented and followed by the operations team.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate operational activities to maximize productivity, safety, and timely achievement of project targets.
  • Oversee and manage maintenance processes for all diving-related equipment and vessels, ensuring compliance with operational and safety standards.
  • Supervise and track the progress of dive technical teams and boat superintendents, including planned maintenance and operational activities.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to company frameworks, maintaining complete and organized documentation for each project.
  • Coordinate project management activities, including resource allocation, scheduling, and equipment coordination.
  • Provide operational insights and recommendations for strategic planning; assist in developing and executing action plans and resolving operational issues.
  • Conduct quality control checks and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across all operational areas.
  • Ensure that all third-party operational audits (e.g., Class audits, load testing, pressure testing) are conducted in accordance with regulatory and industry standards.
  • Ensure work schedules are well-structured and incorporate all required Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) preventive measures.
  • Ensure all operations staff are competent, properly trained, and capable of performing their respective duties effectively.
  • Manage day-to-day operational activities and assign tasks to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Oversee vessel certifications, documentation, and insurance to ensure all are current and valid.
  • Coordinate and assist with annual inspections and surveys conducted by third parties, ship registries, and port authorities.
  • Arrange for vessel servicing, repairs, and dry docking as required.
  • Oversee crew recruitment, onboarding, and training processes.
  • Monitor attendance and performance of divers and operational staff.
  • Contribute operational information and recommendations to strategic reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.
