Title: Assistant Manager, USS Technical Services (Safety Officer)

- Establish and develop internal safety procedures, risk assessment and safety promotion programme.
- Conduct inspection of workplace to ensure the safety and health of personnel on the premises and discuss observations.
- Provide recommendations to improve safety procedures.
- Ensure that the internal safety procedures are aligned with the organization WSH Policy & Framework and are being carried out.
- Ensure that TMs understand and follow the proper safety procedures.
- Maintain safety records or statistics and recommend improvements.
- Carry out periodic risk assessment for all work processes and bring down safety risks to a reasonably practicable level.
- Hold safety briefings and meetings to disseminate relevant safety information to the whole department.
- Conduct investigation into accidents and recommend appropriate remedial measures to prevent recurrence.
- Promote safe conduct of work within the department
- Develop and implement structured Safety and Compliance inspection programs for all Rides and Shows to ensure maintenance activities are carried out safely and comply to standards.
- Understand Amusement ride safety regulations set by Building and Construction Authority (BCA) and Fire and Rescue Management System set by SCDF.
- Oversee the annual BCA Operating Permits (OP) and SCDF Certificate of Compliance (COC) renewal inspections. Support Specialist Professional Engineer (SPE) and Conformity Assessor (CA) during the inspections and follow through the report submission to BC Guide BCA and SCDF personnel for their routine inspections of Rides and Shows venues.

Job Requirements
- Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering environments involving Electrical, Mechanical and/or Motion Controls systems.
- Must be a registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WHSO), as required for this role.
- Ability to perform shifts including weekends and public holidays
