Job summary

A recruitment firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced trade finance professional to manage import/export operations. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of experience in trade finance, particularly within the Oil & Gas industry, with strong negotiation skills and knowledge of documentation processes. This role involves multitasking in a dynamic environment while adhering to compliance regulations.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of trade finance documentation and settlement processes.

  • Review trade finance documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Negotiate LC terms with stakeholders.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor funding needs.

Job Description
  • Review Letters of Credit (LCs) and manage daily import/export trade operations.
  • Prepare and ensure accuracy and compliance of all trade finance documents before bank submission.
  • Handle bank account opening, documentation, and maintenance.
  • Maintain strong relationships with banks and business counterparties.
  • Negotiate and manage LC terms with buyers and sellers.
  • Oversee shipment schedules and verify all trade finance documentation.
  • Manage remittances, loan settlements, and treasury transactions.
  • Prepare short- and long-term cash flow forecasts and monitor funding needs.
  • Reconcile bank credit lines and ensure accuracy of records.
  • Escalate trade finance exceptions to Management promptly.
  • Monitor invoices, discounting, LOI redemption, and compliance with export LC terms.
Job Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Shipping, Supply Chain, or International Trade is preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, preferably within Oil & Gas, or Commodity companies.
  • Strong knowledge of UCP600/ISBP regulations.
  • Solid understanding of International Trade Settlements and Trade Operations, with proven technical expertise.
  • Well-developed organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with cash management and treasury functions.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-oriented environment.
