Job description

Lead the conceptual and detailed design of cleanroom environments, including HVAC systems, filtration, pressurization, airflow design, and contamination control strategies.

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, architectural, and process engineers to ensure design integration and technical alignment.

Review and approve design specifications, equipment selections, and technical submissions.

Assess and manage technical risks to ensure constructability and efficiency in design decisions for cleanroom systems.

Develop and manage commissioning plans, protocols, and schedules to support timely system startup and qualification.

Troubleshoot technical issues during commissioning and collaborate with construction, QA/QC, and operations teams to implement effective resolutions.

Prepare and maintain documentation including commissioning reports, as‑built records, and final turnover packages.

Oversee the installation, functional testing, and verification of cleanroom‑related systems such as HVAC, automation, and clean utilities.

Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to align design and commissioning strategies with project objectives.

Lead the system handover process, including performance validation and client sign‑off.

Provide technical input and clarifications to support construction and procurement activities.

Ensure all designs and installations comply with ISO 14644 cleanroom classifications, cGMP requirements, and relevant industry standards.

Job Requirements

Possess Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

At least 5 years’ relevant experience in high‑tech or regulated environments such as semiconductor or pharmaceutical facilities.

Experience within a construction or engineering consultancy setting is a must.

Strong technical expertise in cleanroom design standards, HVAC systems, commissioning practices, and contamination control.

Proficiency in project review software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks is an added advantage.

Excellent communication and coordination skills.
