Job summary

A leading energy solutions provider in Singapore is seeking a candidate for a role focused on sustainable urban development and carbon management. You will support the execution of the Low-Carbon Industrial Park strategy, establishing KPIs and collaborating with stakeholders. Ideal candidates will have a degree in a relevant field and at least 5 years of experience in sustainability or environmental management. Job Description

This role will be key in supporting the development and execution of the Low-Carbon Industrial Park (LCIP) strategy, aimed at reducing the carbon footprint of urban development projects. The role involves establishing and tracking appropriate environmental performance indicators, coordinating the design of a certification framework, and engaging stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational sustainability objectives.

Responsibilities
Performance Management
  • Establish, track, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for environmental performance.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support decision-making on low-carbon solutions, carbon management practices, and sustainable urban development trends.
Certification & Standards
  • Assist in the development and operationalization of a certification program tailored for LCIP.
  • Coordinate with consultants, industry partners, and certifying bodies to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
Strategy & Implementation
  • Support the execution of the LCIP strategy to achieve carbon reduction and sustainability targets across development projects.
  • Provide input to policies, guidelines, and frameworks to strengthen the organization’s sustainable asset management capabilities.
  • Collaborate with business development and asset management trams to identify opportunities for decarbonization across the urban development portfolio.
Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment with sustainability objectives.
  • Support the preparation of internal reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate progress and outcomes of LCIP initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, Urban Planning, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree will be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in sustainability, carbon management, certification, or environmental management.
  • Familiarity with certification schemes (e.g., LEED, BREEAM, Green Mark, EDGE, or equivalent) is required.
  • Exposure to sustainability/ESG reporting frameworks is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Candidates with practical knowledge on the application of environmental attributes e.g. RECs, carbon credits are preferred.
  • Strong understanding of carbon management principles, sustainable urban development, and environmental performance measurement.
  • Ability to define and monitor KPIs, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple workstreams effectively.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts to audience of non-technical background effectively to achieve buy-in
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
