A leading integrated resort in Singapore is seeking a professional to oversee waste management and compliance. This role involves ensuring alignment with sustainability acts, analyzing waste data, and developing awareness programs. The ideal candidate holds a degree related to environmental science or sustainability and has 2-5 years of relevant experience. Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills are essential for success in this position.

Oversee waste-related matters across the integrated resort, ensuring alignment with Singapore’s Resource Sustainability Act (RSA).
Input, track, verify, analyze, and report waste-related data across the organization.
Prepare periodic reports detailing waste management performance against targets.
Lead regular site audits to identify opportunities for improved recycling and waste management practices.
Stay current with regulatory requirements related to waste and sustainability.
Assist in planning and execution of RSA-related and other waste management projects.
Prepare and submit formal documentation for new projects, including cost estimates and projected outcomes.
Assist in preparing annual budgets, monitor budget performance, and provide reports as required.
Develop and implement waste-related awareness programs for internal and external stakeholders.
Support the organization’s efforts in securing environmental certifications and awards (e.g., ISO 20121, ISO 14001, LEED,).
Perform in-depth analysis of waste trends and staff behavior to identify improvement opportunities.
Provide continuous improvement recommendations for optimizing equipment control strategies.
Support research and implementation of leading sustainability innovations and solutions.
Drive the conceptualization and operationalization of new sustainability initiatives, to increase recycling and circularity projects.
Conduct research and analysis of emerging industry trends and regulations.
Support corporate sustainability related projects (cross-property audits, etc).
Withstand various activities such as frequent walking, sitting for long periods or prolonged standing, stretching, bending and kneeling without restriction.
Enforce all safety programs and training with regards to WSH
Provides input into the research, development, evaluation and implementation of new products, services, technology and processes to ensure MBS competitive position and in anticipation of changing customer needs within the dynamic hospitality and gaming environment.
Party representation philosophy; compliance with company policies, legal requirements and collective bargaining agreements
Computer literacy (Word, excel, power point)
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, Social Sciences or related field.
2 to 5 years relevant working experience
Possess passion, knowledge and drive to create a more sustainable world
Ability to analyze data and articulate business value of sustainability
Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work within a diverse team
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, and at least one other language
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team
Have a well-groomed, professional appearance
