A leading educational institution in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Student Administration System in a cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Science, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience with system analysis and application maintenance. This role involves technical support and project management within a team setting. A 2-year contract is initially offered.

What the role is

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Assistant Manager to join our team that provides support, maintenance, and enhancements for the Student Administration System (Peoplesoft Campus Solution) in a cloud environment. You will play a key role in the whole Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and project lifecycle.

What you will be working on
  • System Administration & Support
    • Provide technical and operational support for the system
    • Manage incidents and problems, ensuring timely resolution
    • Monitor batch jobs and perform system health checks
    • Ensure system and data integrity and compliance with ICT security and IM8 standards
  • System Maintenance
    • Gather user requirements and perform system impact analysis
    • Design, implement, and deploy system enhancements
    • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with security standards
  • Project Management
    • Lead or participate in assigned projects
    • Collaborate with users to gather requirements and propose solutions
    • Manage project and/or vendor to meet requirements, compliance, and timelines.
What we are looking for
  • Education & Experience
    • Degree in Computer Science or related disciplines
    • Proficient in system analysis, application design, and development.
    • Experience in user support, application maintenance, and SDLC is advantageous
    • Knowledge of Peoplesoft development tools (PeopleTools, SQR, SQL, HTML, XML Publisher, Application Engine) is an added advantage
    • Candidates with 2–4 years of relevant experience are preferred; however, those without prior experience are also encouraged to apply
