Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans for various categories, aligning with NTU’s objectives and analyzing market trends, opportunities, and setting performance targets.
- Build strong and collaborative supplier relationships to optimize value, reduce risks, and drive mutual success, including supplier onboarding, contract negotiation, performance management, and innovation partnership.
- Conduct market research and analysis to understand pricing trends, supplier capabilities, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to inform decision‑making.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align category strategies with broader organizational objectives, coordinating spending analysis, communication, and joint decision‑making.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for category performance, tracking metrics such as customer satisfaction and supplier performance, and drive improvement actions.
- Continuously seek new ways to enhance product/service offerings, explore alternative sourcing strategies, and stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
- Identify and mitigate risks across the entire procurement process.
- Execute procurement tender processes, including tender roadmap development and spearheading to meet NTU deliverables.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma / Degree Equivalent Qualification with 4‑6 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite for analytical tasks, quantitative modelling, and presenting recommendations.
- Solid experience and knowledge of the P2P process.
Good to have
- Knowledge of financial systems such as SAP and Ariba.
- Demonstrated project and time‑management skills with the ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Organized, meticulous, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple competing priorities, manage projects, and meet deadlines.
- Team player capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Proactive learner, willing to invest time and effort to acquire new skills and knowledge.
