A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Payroll Accountant to manage payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Accounting, at least 3 years of experience in payroll management, and proficiency in payroll systems. Job Description

Reporting to Manager (Accounts Payable & Payroll), the Payroll Accountant plays a strategic and integral role in Finance Division and will be responsible to drive improvement initiatives and ensure timeliness, accurate and completeness of payroll. He/she will support CFO and VP Finance (Financial Services) to improve efficiency in transactional operations and enhance role of Finance as strategic Business Partners providing actionable business insights & performance measurement.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the payroll team
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness and completeness for all payroll runs (regular/off-cycle runs) and CPF submissions
  • Review/prepare journals for posting by Staff at month end
  • Prepare monthly & quarterly payroll variance analysis report
  • Review monthly reconciliation of all other payroll related accounts
  • Review monthly recharge to holding company, subsidiaries and JVs
  • Review transactions performed by team for increment, upgrading, promotion and contract renewal
  • Prepare quarterly payment for Directors' fees & Technology Advisory Committee (TAC)
  • Review and manage outstanding receivables from ex-staff with HR Division
  • In charge of Annual IR8E Exercise
  • Preparation of annual payroll budget
  • Perform annual system review on payroll authorisation & payroll vendor master
  • In charge of annual DR Testing and annual LCP upgrade
  • Undertake any other ad-hoc projects or tasks as assigned by management
Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting, ACCA or related field
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience leading payroll teams in large SMEs or MNCs
  • Experience using Success Factor – Employee Central Payroll or other payroll systems
  • Must demonstrate confidence, good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to drive project with sense of urgency and deal effectively with ambiguity

Applicants may be placed in the position of Assistant Manager or Accountant depending on experience and qualifications.
