Position Overview The Assistant Manager/ Senior Assistant Manager (Learner Engagement) provides end-to-end career and learning support to participants in the SkillsFuture Career Transition Programme (SCTP). From pre-course enrolment to post-course follow-up, you’ll guide and coach learners throughout their learning journey to support their transition into employment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Pre-Course Enrolment

  • Assess prospective learners for course suitability based on career goals, experience, and transferable skills.
  • Conduct consultation calls to clarify programme goals, entry requirements, and funding eligibility.
  • Recommend appropriate SITLEARN SCTP programmes aligned with individual career aspirations.
  • Support the enrolment process to ensure minimum class sizes and course run viability.

2. Career Coaching & Advisory

  • Conduct one-to-one coaching sessions to explore learners' career objectives, strengths, and barriers.
  • Develop personalised career roadmaps aligned with market opportunities and industry trends.
  • Provide guidance on job search strategies, CV/resume writing, interview preparation, and personal branding.

3. Training & Facilitation

  • Deliver or oversee employability workshops on topics such as job search strategy, digital tools, and workplace readiness.
  • Facilitate group coaching, peer learning circles, and role-play exercises to build job-seeking confidence.
  • Support learners in using platforms and tools (e.g., LinkedIn, AI-powered job tools) to enhance job search effectiveness.

4. Administration & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate documentation of all learner interactions and support provided.
  • Ensure learner data is kept current across relevant systems.
  • Prepare timely and accurate reports on learner engagement and outcomes.
  • Uphold strict data protection standards in line with PDPA and institutional policies.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in any field
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in career coaching, recruitment, talent acquisition, or consulting.
  • Experience in training or facilitation, particularly in career development or soft skills, is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in administering and interpreting career assessments.
  • Strong team player who works well with other coaches and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Empathetic with a learner-focused approach.
  • Well-organized and capable of managing multiple learner portfolios effectively.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in team environments.
  • Familiarity with adult learners and mid-career jobseekers is an advantage.
