Job description
Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the Head of Research and Data Analytics, the individual will support the team on data management, tabulation, analysis, programme evaluation, research planning and governance.

Key Responsibilities
Data Management and Insights
  • Establish, maintaining, and enhancing database systems for data entry and analysis
  • Analyze collected data to identify key trends, patterns, and actionable insights
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and presentation materials to support studies and programme evaluation initiatives
  • Contribute to department-level and consolidated summary reports for monthly management updates and annual reporting cycles
Programme Evaluation, Research Planning and Governance
  • Design and implement research studies (academic / non-academic) aligned to SCS work (i.e. outreach, programmes and services etc.)
  • Designing evaluation framework for progamme; pre and post
  • Provision of oversight, monitor and report on the progress of in-house research activities to ensure alignment with strategic goals
  • Analyze published literature, clinical data, and broader research trends to identify gaps in healthcare practices to inform strategic direction for SCS programmes and services
  • Lead or support the development of a research institution (RI) which includes the establishment of required policy formulation and process design
Criteria
  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related field with 6 to 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Formal training or certification in research methodology, data analytics, or programme evaluation is an advantage.
  • Proficient in statistical and predictive modelling
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly and effectively
  • Experienced in data management tasks (i.e. data cleaning, recoding, and tabulations
  • Skilled in SPSS, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and the creation of infographics and data visualisations
