Job description
Responsibilities
  • Strategic and Corporate Planning
    • Provide administrative and operational support for the implementation of the SMU2030 Strategic Plan (where relevant), which may include the setup, monitoring and reporting of strategic and enabling initiatives across Schools, Colleges, Offices, Centres and Institutes (SOCIs).
    • Provide administrative and operational support for the annual workplan reviews (where relevant) to ensure alignment of SOCIs' plans with the overall University strategy.
    • Support the operations and enhancements of the Strategic Initiatives Management System (SIMS) and Executive Management Dashboard (EMD).
    • Support data requests to SMU schools and administrative units to update the EMD.
  • Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)
    • Provide administrative and operational support for risk assessments, risk monitoring and risk reporting of strategic and operational risks by schools and administrative units.
    • Organise meetings with Senior Management, Deans of schools and Heads of administrative units and relevant committees for discussions on risk appetite, risk assessments, mitigation measures and risk reporting.
    • Consolidate risk registers submitted by schools and administrative units and update the University risk register.
    • Interface with SMU schools and administrative units to support the monitoring, analysis and reporting of key risk indicators and key performance indicators for the major risks of the University.
    • Maintain the ERM database (to be implemented) for a comprehensive overview of the University's risks.
  • ERM Capability Development and Communications
    • Assist in developing ERM training materials (including digital resources) for the SMU community.
    • Provide administrative and operational support for ERM training and roadshows.
    • Prepare presentation slides and documents on ERM matters including ERM initiatives for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ensure content on the ERM microsite is clear, relevant, user‑friendly and up to date.
    • Source relevant and useful resources through desktop research and other means for dissemination to the SMU community.
    • Prepare communications materials for regular ERM newsletters, EDMs and other media platforms.
  • Others
    • Support a range of administrative support functions such as office administration, scheduling of meetings, event logistics, drafting of reports and notes, desktop research and data analysis.
    • Any other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3 to 5 years working experience.
