Sales Strategy & Business Development
- Conduct market analysis and competitor scans to refine sales approaches and identify growth areas.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure expectations are met.
- Provide after-sales service and maintain high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the Creative Team on ideation, concepts, and proposal development.
- Partner with the Project Management Team to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of events.
Performance & Reporting
- Track, analyse, and report on pipeline progress.
Industry & Partnership Development
- Identify relevant and suitable trade shows, industry networking sessions, and client engagement events.
- Explore sponsorship and partnership opportunities to expand Quebec’s market presence.
- Stay informed on emerging industry trends, client expectations, and competitor activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in event sales, business development, MICE, or corporate sales
- Proven track record as an independent, solution-oriented sales professional
- Strong background in the MICE industry, or experience in venue, hospitality, or events sectors
- In-depth knowledge of the events industry, including venue management, event logistics, and best practices
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a team
- Ambitious, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous learning
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality and service
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as needed for event execution
