IT Operations Management
Support daily functioning of client’s IT infrastructure to ensure systems are reliable, secure, and perform optimally
- Support daily IT operations, including network management, server administration, and system support, to ensure continuous availability and optimal performance
- Monitor system health through regular checks, performance metrics, and logs; troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly to minimise disruptions
- Support the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems across the organisation, ensuring they meet operational requirements
- Regularly test backup and contingency plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity
Maintenance & Support
Ensure all IT systems and hardware are maintained properly, with routine updates and support provided to staff to resolve technical issues efficiently
- Schedule and perform routine maintenance, including updates, patches, and system upgrades, to keep IT infrastructure secure and up-to-date
- Provide technical support to staff and end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner
- Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and consumables, to support asset management and procurement
- Document all maintenance activities, system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and support requests for future reference and compliance
Security & Compliance
Support the safeguarding of client’s digital assets by implementing security policies, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Assist in implementing and enforcing IT security policies and procedures to protect organisational data and infrastructure
- Support regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and compliance checks to identify and mitigate risks
- Ensure all IT activities adhere to data privacy laws, organisational policies, and industry best practices
- Educate staff on security awareness and best practices to prevent security breaches
- Assist in conceptualising the security incident management strategy, as well as the implementation and enforcement of security incident response plans,
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
Manage relationships with external vendors and internal departments to ensure effective procurement, support and implementation of IT solutions
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for hardware procurement, maintenance, and support services, ensuring service level agreements are met
- Liaise with internal departments to understand their IT needs and provide timely technical support and solutions
- Assist in evaluating, recommending, and selecting new hardware or software solutions to meet organisational requirement
- Track vendor performance and manage ongoing relationships to ensure quality service delivery
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
- At least 7 years in IT operations, support or maintenance roles
- Experience with network management, server administration, and IT security best practices
- Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks is a plus
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified, or Cisco CCNA are advantageous
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking technologies
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex IT issues
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with users, technical teams, and vendors
- Ability to work collaboratively with other IT professionals and users
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and tools (firewalls, SIEM, endpoint protection, vulnerability management)
