Job summary

A market leader in the electricity sector is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee sales activities for their Large Electricity Sales Team. The ideal candidate will have strong sales experience, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage relationships with commercial and industrial customers. Responsibilities include developing pricing strategies and fostering business relationships. This is a 12-month contract with possible renewal based on performance.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of sales and account servicing experience required.
  • Prior experience in leading and managing a team.
  • Ability to read/interpret tender/contractual documentation.

Responsibilities

On behalf of the hiring company, which is a market leader in their sector, is looking for a suitable candidate to join them as an Assistant Manager (electricity sales)

Responsibilities
  • To plan and oversee all sales activities for the Large Electricity Sales Team (B2B) and work with various functional teams to propose pricing strategies to achieve and exceed Team and Personal Financial and Market Share Targets
  • Foster strong business relationships with existing Commercial and Industrial Key Account customers and prospects, and ensure consistent business follow-ups
  • Work with the Product Development Team to identify and develop new business opportunities and programs for the Commercial and Industrial Segment
  • Collection of competitor market pricing, products, and services
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures & proper documentation of electricity documents, security deposits, and approval forms
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications (Degree) in any discipline
  • Diploma holder with min 5 years of relevant sales experience
  • 3 to 5 years of sales and account servicing experience with commercial and industrial customers
  • Prior experience in leading and managing a team
  • Prior experience in the Power Industry
  • Good interpersonal skills to manage customers with ease
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use Basic Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to complete essential requirements of the role
  • Ability to read/interpret tender/contractual documentation
  • Ability to interpret numerical information, logically analyse complex data
  • Ability to troubleshoot in a logical manner
  • Exhibit leadership skills & outspoken personality
  • Outgoing personality with the ability to negotiate with and convince customers to sign up for packages
  • Sales driven to achieve targets set by the company
  • Able to communicate orally clearly and fluently in both individual and group situations
  • Able to write clearly and fluently
  • Meticulous and analytical personality to help customers resolve day-to-day issues with the relevant authorities and departments
  • Successfully adapt to changing demands and conditions

Term: 12 months

The contract will be renewed when performance is good.
