Job description
About Us

Tidy Waste Management Group is a leading environmental solutions provider in Singapore, specializing in holistic waste disposal, recycling, and sustainable practices. As we commission our brand-new 144-pax worker dormitory at our new facility, we are looking for a disciplined and hands‑on Assistant Manager to lead ground operations, manage facility cleanliness, and oversee company‑wide inventory.

Job Description

The Assistant Manager (Dormitory & Operations) will take full ownership of the dormitory's lifecycle—from the final A&A works and licensing phase to daily operational leadership. Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Project Setup & Regulatory Approval: Oversee the final Additions & Alterations (A&A) works on‑site; liaise directly with MOM, SCDF, NEA and PUB to ensure all infrastructure meets 2026 housing standards and secure the final license to commence operations.

  • SOP & Rule Architecture: Establish the foundational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and comprehensive House Rules; ensure the dormitory is designed for 100% audit readiness from day one.

  • Lead and Manage Residents: Directly oversee 12 Room ICs and 144 workers to ensure strict adherence to "House Rules," maintaining discipline and resolving any disputes.

  • Oversee Facility Hygiene: Manage daily cleaning schedules for the entire factory area, yard, and dormitory (rooms, toilets, and common areas) to ensure compliance with NEA and PUB sanitation standards.

  • Manage Company Inventory: Act as the central person for stock‑taking and issuance of all company supplies, including PPE (safety boots, helmets, gloves), dormitory assets (mattresses, keys), and cleaning consumables.

  • Handle Administrative Paperwork: Manage all dormitory‑related documentation, including worker check‑in/check‑out processes, updating resident registers in OFWAS, and maintaining company licensing records.

  • Monitor Facility Maintenance: Proactively identify wear‑and‑tear (plumbing, electrical, structural) and coordinate with contractors or maintenance teams to ensure all facility items are in peak working condition.

Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of proven experience in Singapore worker housing operations or facility management.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with working/liaise with government agencies such as MOM, SCDF, NEA and PUB.

  • Leadership: Strong ability to give direct instructions to a large workforce and maintain authority over the Room IC hierarchy.

  • Organizational Skills: Disciplined in tracking inventory logs and managing government‑related paperwork with high accuracy.

  • Education & Mindset: We value "street‑smart" candidates with a "fix‑it" attitude. You should be a proactive leader who prefers being on the ground rather than behind a desk.

What We Offer
  • Competitive Compensation: Attractive salary package commensurate with ground‑management and regulatory setup experience.

  • Career Growth: A unique opportunity to play a "founding" role, taking a brand‑new facility from setup to full‑scale operational success.

  • Innovative & Sustainable Environment: Work within a group at the forefront of sustainable waste management in Singapore.

  • Supportive Culture: A collaborative environment that values leadership on the ground and fosters development for dedicated employees.
