Job summary

A leading resort management corporation in Singapore is seeking a qualified maintenance manager to oversee the preventive and corrective maintenance of various assets on Sentosa Island. The ideal candidate should have relevant educational qualifications, experience, and skills in project management and team coordination, ensuring smooth operations. This role also involves budgeting for maintenance activities and managing contracts with external services.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience for Degree holders.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience for Diploma holders.

Responsibilities

  • Assist HOD of Maintenance Unit to carry out day-to-day maintenance.
  • Plan and supervise cyclical and preventive maintenance for SDC assets.
  • Prepare yearly OPEX and CAPEX budgets, tracking monthly expenditure.
  • Conduct engineering and safety analysis and investigation.
  • Manage Minor Upgrading / A&A work.

Job description
What the role is
  • Assist the Head (HOD, Section and Unit Head) of Maintenance Unit to carry out day-to-day preventive / corrective maintenance work, urgent & ad-hoc work and minor upgrading / improvement work.
  • Plan, co-ordinate and supervise cyclical, preventive and corrective maintenance for all SDC owned assets and infrastructure on Sentosa Island.
  • Plan and develop life cycle asset maintenance or replacement schedule and annual cyclical and preventive maintenance budget.
  • Prepare yearly OPEX and CAPEX budgets, tracking monthly expenditure.
  • Prepare ITQ and ITT Contracts for Sentosa Island. This includes discussion with relevant stakeholders on the specification, drafting the SOR, liaising with relevant stakeholders, and participating in Tender processes (for example, site show around, tender evaluation, etc.).
  • Carry out mandatory BCA building inspection and PUB water tank inspection and other non-BCA building lists (for example, bridges, Express train track system, shelters and other infrastructure, etc.).
  • Carry out inspections at assigned clusters on buildings, infrastructure, facilities and services.
  • Arrange with external P.E for any work requiring PE design, endorsement and certification.
  • Conduct engineering and safety analysis and investigation.
  • Manage Minor Upgrading / A&A work.
What you will be working on
  • Assist Head (HOD, Section and Unit Head) of C&S Maintenance Unit to carry out day-to-day preventive / corrective maintenance work, urgent & ad-hoc work and minor upgrading/improvement work.
  • Manage in-house and outsourced team (for example, Term Contractor, Facilities Maintenance Company, etc.) for any urgent and ad-hoc work request.
  • Life Cycle Management of C&S: Responsible for the planning and documentation of cyclical and preventive maintenance of C&S assets, utilities services such as sewage systems, drains and bridges, roads, buildings, floating platforms, jetties and other infrastructure (for example, WOT, SkyWalk, Twin Towers, Fort Siloso, etc.) in Sentosa. Maintain up-to-date records on 5 yearly building inspections as per regulatory requirements, yearly water tank inspections, and all C&S drawings.
  • Term Contract management: Engage relevant stakeholders before upgrading, repair and maintenance work; conduct regular meetings with Term Contractors on progress, performance, arising matters, feedback, etc.; ensure contractors comply with WSH regulations; review RA, Method Of Statement & Safe Work Procedures, and Work at Height submissions; ensure work complies with work orders, drawings, and standards; issue Term Contract Orders via Workday and perform work closure (GRN).
  • Preventive and Corrective Maintenance: Carry out corrective maintenance as requested; liaise with Zone Managers to ensure smooth handover during and after maintenance; plan, develop and carry out inspections at various zones and areas.
  • Minor work / upgrading work management: liaise with ISO for ITQ/ITT documentation; liaise with Architects/Engineers for detailed drawings and specs; provide cost estimates for minor upgrading / repair work; manage minor upgrading projects.
  • Prepare yearly OPEX and CAPEX budgets, track monthly expenditure.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.
What we are looking for
  • Degree or Diploma in Civil and Structural Engineering, or Degree or Diploma in Facilities / Estate Management.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience for Degree holders and 5 years for Diploma holders.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Ability to read and understand AutoCAD drawings is an advantage.
