Job summary

National University Health System seeks an Assistant Manager for the Artificial Intelligence Office (Contract) to lead enterprise application development across the full stack. The role focuses on delivering scalable, secure software solutions with modern frameworks and DevOps practices in a healthcare context.

The candidate will design, develop, test, and deploy applications, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement throughout the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software development and enterprise application delivery.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java development using Spring Boot.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs, microservices, and enterprise-scale applications.
• Experience in frontend development using Angular, React, or similar web frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Git source control and branching strategies.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
• Good understanding of Agile, Scrum, and SDLC methodologies.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL development.
• Experience integrating applications with external systems through APIs and middleware technologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-motivated with a passion for learning and adopting new technologies.
• Experience in healthcare systems or healthcare-related projects would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend services.
• Design and develop responsive, user-friendly web applications using modern frontend frameworks and technologies.
• Implement secure and scalable software solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and software solutions.
• Participate in technical design reviews, architecture discussions, and solution evaluations.
• Perform code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards, security requirements, and development best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues throughout the development lifecycle.
• Build reusable UI components and integrate frontend applications with backend APIs.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers and business users to enhance user experience and application usability.
