The Opportunity

Adecco is partnering with a biotech company, and we are looking for an experienced Assistant Logistics Manager to join their business on a permanent basis! The successful incumbent will manage the entire logistics operations across Asia, including 3PL coordination, freight negotiations, and ensuring all shipments meet international trade, customs, and local regulatory requirements. You will oversee shipment documentation, optimize freight costs, and leverage SAP and TMS systems to drive efficiency.

The Job
  • Oversee entire logistics operations across Asia, managing shipments, 3PLs, and freight partners to ensure materials move efficiently and on time.
  • Negotiate freight rates, monitor shipping costs, and track performance metrics to optimize spend and delivery reliability.
  • Ensure shipments meet all trade, customs, and local regulations, including DG handling, Free Trade Zones, and HS classification.
  • Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, coordinating with compliance teams and customs brokers for smooth clearance and audit readiness.
  • Resolve logistics issues such as delays, damages, or documentation errors while driving process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Execute and maintain SAP and TMS transactions and master data, supporting system updates, integrations, and operational enhancements.
  • Lead or support projects following warehouse relocations, stock transfers, site start-ups, and product launches.
  • Drive ongoing process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives to strengthen logistics performance.
  • Manage teams or 3PL partners, ensuring high performance, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Apply logistics expertise to support cross-border operations and complex supply chain activities.
The Talent
  • Prior logistics experience in manufacturing environments, including team and 3PL management.
  • Solid understanding of logistics operations, including international shipping rules, hazardous goods handling, and cross-border coordination.
  • Proficient in SAP/ERP/WMS systems; familiar with ISO standards and product handling regulations.
  • Experience managing budgets, leading projects, and driving process improvements.
  • Skilled in stakeholder management, warehouse relocations, site start-ups, and continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Six Sigma).
