Overview

AsiaOne, a leading digital content provider in Singapore, is taking off for our next phase of growth as a fully privately owned news and media outlet. In this position, you will work closely with the management team and be supported by other departments within the Company to give a unique edge to our reporting.

Responsibilities

As Editorial Lead, you will play an important role in shaping AsiaOne's Lifestyle coverage. Your responsibilities include:

• Content Strategy & Innovation: Develop and execute a bold content strategy for local and regional lifestyle content.
• Multi-Platform Multi-Media Storytelling: Drive the creation of diverse content formats, including news reports, feature articles, photo essays and social videos.
• Content Curation & Packaging: Monitor the news cycle and copy taste various sources and partners to create compelling and accessible narratives.
• Leadership: Guide a team of journalists and foster a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Others: Support the wider editorial operations, including weekday and weekend duties.

What You Bring

• At least 7 years of newsroom experience, with a preference for candidates with proven editing experience.
• A good bachelor’s degree; candidates with journalism, communications and social science background preferred.
• Strong news sense and a natural flair to persuade with words.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced digital environment.
• A collaborative spirit with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships

Bonus

• Experience in digital media, social media management and/or video journalism.
• Ability to read and/or speak a second or third language
