Job summary

A central kitchen team in Singapore is seeking an experienced Assistant Kueh Chef to support the Sous Chef in preparing our signature Nyonya kuehs. Responsibilities include daily production, operating kitchen equipment, ensuring product quality, and maintaining food safety standards. Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant experience and a passion for local heritage food. This is a full-time position with a six-day work week.

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Assistant Kueh Chef to join our central kitchen team. This role supports the Sous Chef and Production team in preparing, cooking, and ensuring consistency of our signature Nyonya kuehs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in daily production of kuehs according to standard recipes and quality requirements
  • Operate kitchen equipment and machinery safely (e.g. steamers, mixers, Rheon machine)
  • Ensure all products meet HarriAnns’ standards in taste, texture, and presentation
  • Support quality checks and maintain cleanliness in work areas
  • Assist in portioning, wrapping, and packaging finished products
  • Maintain food hygiene and safety standards
  • Support process improvement and new product development when required
Qualities:
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Passionate about local heritage food and hands‑on kitchen work
  • Able to work in a fast‑paced environment and as part of a team
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety
  • Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills
Working Hours:
  • 9 hours work per day
  • 6 days’ work week
