This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join us as an Assistant HR Manager or HR Manager. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the HR function and contributing to the overall success of the organisation. The position is based in the East Region and is a full-time role.

What you'll be doing
  • Overseeing the end-to-end HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll, and benefits administration
  • Developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations
  • Supporting the HR Manager in strategic HR initiatives, such as performance management, talent development, and workforce planning
  • Providing HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on a wide range of HR-related matters
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the employee experience and foster a positive, inclusive work culture
  • Maintaining accurate HR records and generating reports to support decision-making
What we're looking for
  • Significant experience (at least 5 years) in a generalist HR role, preferably in the construction or related industry
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and HR information systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with employees at all levels
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills to identify and address HR-related challenges
  • Proficiency in HR-related software and tools, such as HRIS and payroll systems
