This strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing and driving the profitability and operational excellence of the Relocation and Removal Services, with a strong focus on maximizing sales and market penetration. Leverage deep industry expertise, particularly in the region and with Japanese clientele, to formulate business strategies, manage key accounts, and mentor the sales and operations teams. This role requires a proven leader with P&L accountability experience and the ability to bridge operational efficiency with aggressive sales targets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
I. Strategic Leadership and Business Development
- Develop and execute comprehensive annual business strategies to drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share for the Relocation and Removal Services division.
- Lead the sales function, setting aggressive yet achievable targets for the sales team and actively engaging in high-level business development activities.
- Identify, pursue, and secure major corporate accounts (especially Japanese MNCs and large local enterprises) and strategic partnerships within the target markets.
- Conduct market analysis to identify new service lines, competitive landscapes, and opportunities for geographical expansion.
- Act as the key liaison for major Japanese clients, ensuring cultural sensitivity, high service standards, and effective communication to maintain and strengthen long-term relationships.
II. Operational Excellence and Service Delivery
- Oversee all operational aspects of the removal and relocation process, ensuring efficiency, quality control, and compliance with local and international regulations (e.g., customs, import/export).
- Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for service delivery, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction scores.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in operational processes, vendor management, logistics, and resource allocation to enhance service margins and customer experience.
- Ensure all staff are trained on and adhere to industry best practices, safety standards, and compliance protocols.
III. Financial Management and P&L Oversight
- Manage the division's Profit & Loss statement, ensuring budget adherence, cost control, and optimal pricing strategies for services.
- Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and performance reviews to the General Manager and executive stakeholders.
- Approve major expenditures, contracts, and resource allocations in line with the annual budget.
IV. Team Management and Development
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a cross-functional team including Sales Executives, Operations Managers, and Service Coordinators.
- Define clear roles, responsibilities, and performance objectives for all direct reports, conducting regular performance appraisals.
- Foster a high-performance, customer-centric, and collaborative culture within the division.
V. Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure all sales and operational activities strictly comply with local laws, trade regulations, and company policies.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies related to logistics, cargo insurance, customs clearance, and manpower management.
Key Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in the Relocation, Logistics, or Removal Services industry, with at least 3-5 years in a senior managerial or strategic leadership role.
- Expertise: Demonstrable deep knowledge of the Japanese relocation market (Inbound / Outbound) and business practices is highly preferred.
