Job summary

GovTech Singapore is hiring a legal professional to handle a dynamic mix of technology contracts and cybersecurity matters. You will provide high‑quality advice on licensing, compliance, and procurement for diverse software products and services in a public sector setting.

The role requires admission to the Singapore Bar, an excellent LL.B, and 2–8 years of relevant experience, with a proactive, thorough approach and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Called to the Singapore Bar with an excellent LL.B degree and 2 to 8 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with excellent communication skills.
• Proactive team player with a high degree of thoroughness and positive work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Manage contract, cybersecurity, data protection and IP law matters.
• Advise on software licensing, compliance and procurement issues.
• Draft software licences, user policies and terms of use, tech collaboration, and maintenance agreements.
• Draft tenders and evaluate vendor proposals for IaaS, PaaS and SaaS solutions.
• Assist in resolving legal issues arising from development, procurement or implementation of tech products and services.
• Support internal audit, corporate compliance, technology design, operations and risk management.

[What you will be working on]

• Manage a dynamic workload involving various aspects of contract, cybersecurity, data protection and intellectual property law.
• Provide high quality advice on a wide range of technology related legal issues such as complex software licensing, compliance and procurement matters.
• Support the design and drafting of software application licences, acceptable user policies and terms of use, technology collaboration, development and maintenance services agreements.
• Support the design and drafting of large-scale technology tenders, detailed assessment and evaluation of vendor proposals for diverse products such as IaaS, PaaS and SaaS solutions.
• Support the resolution of contentious legal issues arising from the development, procurement or implementation of technology products and services.
• Support internal audit, corporate compliance, technology design, operations and risk management functions.
