Job summary

A leading technology company in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager for managing Accounts Payable and Receivable processes. Position Summary: The Assistant Finance Manager, AP AR will be responsible for overseeing key aspects of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), as well as driving improvements in financial processes and supporting the company's financial strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving and process optimisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform and manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.
  • Process and monitor supplier invoices, including resolving disputes with internal teams and suppliers.
  • Maintain AP and AR ageing schedules to support healthy payable and receivable days.
  • Execute complete and timely AP and AR transaction processing.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and handle bank-related matters.
  • Process intercompany billings and perform related reconciliations.
  • Complete timely and accurate periodic AP and AR closings.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly GST filings.
  • Assist in cash flow planning and budgeting activities.
  • Conduct AP and AR internal and external audit reviews.
  • Lead, mentor and manage the AP and AR team in line with Group policies and procedures.
  • Drive cost optimisation initiatives and process improvements.
Requirements:
  • Min. Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • Min. 5 years of relevant Accounting or Operational Accounting experience such as in Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable, preferably with approver / reviewer responsibility.
  • Strong SAP / Oracle experience / knowledge.
  • Highly organised with a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively across departments to achieve common goals.
  • Dynamic and adept in handling pressure effectively.
  • Strong communication skills in Chinese to communicate with China counterparts; fluency in Cantonese is a plus.
  • Candidates must meet legal requirements to work in Singapore without sponsorship.
