Job summary

A leading marine company in Singapore is seeking a Financial Manager to oversee financial reporting, taxation, and audit functions. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Accountancy or be ACCA certified, with over 7 years of relevant experience, preferably with a Big 4 audit firm. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong organizational skills are essential. This is an opportunity to contribute to financial governance and support the Group Financial Controller.

Qualifications

Job description

Job Description:

· Reporting to the Group Financial Controller.

· Oversee and manage the financial reporting, taxation and audit (internal and external) functions of the USA entities to ensure compliance with the Group policies, statutory requirements and reporting standards.

· Prepare timely and accurate Group (the listed company and its subsidiaries) consolidated financial reports in adherence to accounting standards and ensure standardization of policies and practices across the Group.

· Responsible for accuracy of Group consolidated financial statements including analysis and commentary of monthly results, SGX results announcement template and risk assessments.

· Help the Group Financial Controller and Finance Manager to oversee and manage the financial reporting of the Group, to ensure its accuracy and compliance with Group policies, statutory requirements, SGX listing rules and SFRS(I) standards.

· Make recommendations to improve workflows, processes, procedures and systems of internal control to safeguard the Group’s assets and to ensure integrity of the reporting systems.

· Support the Group Financial Controller and Finance Manager in collaborating with external consultants, administrating transfer pricing (TP) study, TP structure set up and sustainability reporting.

· To work closely with regional Finance teams and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis.

· To act as the key liaison person with external and internal auditors to resolve and implement audit findings/recommendations and prepare the Group statutory accounts.

· Participate in the implementation of new ERP system, data migration and process/system improvements.

· Any other ad-hoc special projects and reporting requirements.

Requirements

· Degree in Accountancy or ACCA certified.

· Minimum 7 years of relevant auditing/accounting working experience. Prior Big 4 audit firm experience will be an advantage.

· Must have hands-on Consolidation of Group accounts exposure.

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

· Strong organizational, analytical, and multi-tasking skills.
