A leading insurance company in Singapore is seeking an Underwriter for A&H business. You will work closely with intermediaries and provide support to the Team Lead Underwriter. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of underwriting experience in A&H insurance, good technical knowledge, and strong communication skills. Qualifications

• At least 2 years of underwriting experience in A&H insurance.
• Complete MAS-required qualifications to provide advice on insurance matters.

• Able to multi-task, and is a team player, conscientious, tactful, and willing to learn new skills.
• Able to work independently and interact with different levels of customers.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new A&H business according to guidelines.
• Liaise, advise, and service intermediaries/insureds on A&H matters.
• Review renewal policies with claims records.
• Monitor and review own portfolio for profitable growth.
• Provide guidance and coaching to junior underwriters and administrative assistants.
• Support Team Lead Underwriter and other underwriters.

Job description

Responsibilities:

Team 1 Underwriter A will be given a panel of intermediaries, including Financial Advisors, and will assist the Team 2 Lead Underwriter. The principal accountabilities are as below:

• Underwrite new A&H business in accordance with the underwriting guidelines and objectives;
• Liaising, advising and servicing (Including rapport building) intermediaries/insureds on A&H insurance matters;
• Reviewing renewal policies with claims record;
• Monitor and review own portfolio to ensure profitable growth in line with company targets;
• Provide guidance and coaching to junior underwritiers and adminstrative assistants;
• Provide support to Team Lead Underwriter and other underwriters as required;
• Any other responsibilities as assigned by Team Lead Underwriter and/or Department Head.

Requirements:

1. At least 2 years of underwriting experience in A&H insurance;
