Recruit Now Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to oversee the daily operations of the engineering department, ensure performance, and drive process adherence. You will coordinate projects, develop detailed plans, and integrate technical and production activities.

Qualifications

  • Prepare BOQ, cost estimates, budgets and technical proposals
  • Provide pre-sales support including sizing, product selection and customer presentations
  • Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE standards and company procedures
  • Mentor junior engineers and improve engineering processes

About the role

Oversee the daily operations of the engineering department, ensuring engineers perform effectively and follow established processes. Coordinate and lead projects, develop detailed plans to achieve objectives, and manage the integration of technical and production activities. Actively participate in pre-sales technical activities.

Key responsibilities
  • Support the Engineering Manager in managing the engineering department and project execution

  • Design and engineer Telecom DC Power Systems, Rectifiers, UPS, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Solar and Hybrid Solar Solutions

  • Prepare complete electrical system designs including SLDs, wiring diagrams, cabinet layouts, GA drawings and engineering documentation

  • Design equipment cabinets and power distribution systems based on customer specifications and international standards

  • Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), material take-offs, cost estimates, project budgets and technical proposals

  • Provide technical pre-sales support including solution sizing, product selection, bid responses and customer presentations

  • Coordinate with Supply Chain and Procurement to source materials, evaluate suppliers and optimize solution costs

  • Review engineering drawings and ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, customer specifications and company standards

  • Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), commissioning and troubleshooting

  • Mentor junior engineers and continuously improve engineering processes and standards

Requirement
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role within an engineering environment

  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing a team of engineers, with strong focus on performance, productivity, and team development

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple engineering initiatives concurrently

  • Familiarity with industry best practices, emerging technologies such as UPS, rectifier, inverters, system fabrications, and regulatory requirements in the engineering field

  • Proficient in project management systems

  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage complex technical issues

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
