Job summary

A leading water infrastructure company in Singapore seeks an experienced Engineering Manager responsible for managing water/wastewater projects. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and have at least 8 years of experience managing complex projects. You will lead design developments, coordinate teams, and ensure timely delivery of quality drawings and installations. Strong leadership and communication skills are required for successful project management.

Job description

Responsibilities

• To handle Engineering Department for water/wastewater projects independently
• Drive development of designs by involving in planning, scheduling, and coordinating among the team.
• Manage and coordinate the review, submission, and approval of design by internal process and design team as well as sub-contractors.
• Manage & guide a group of engineers in terms of assignment, progress update, schedule, efficiency and ensure timely deliverable of quality designs & drawings.
• Attend project meetings and address technical concerns from clients, consultants etc.
• Lead research and develop design for new projects or tender preparation.
• Organize and chair internal meetings with project teams etc. for reviews, discussions, and progress update.
• Manage and lead site inspections to verify the execution of installation against the design approved.
• Manage the as-built drawings and ensure timely submission to clients.
• Manage and organize the approved drawings, technical documents systematically and keep good record for projects respectively.
• Other ad-hoc activities as and when needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering
• Minimum 8 years of working experience in the management of complex water infrastructure projects
