Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities

Assist Manager to manage and execute the projects to be cost effective, meet timely delivery, quality standards and client expectation. Participate as a team member or lead a small team by coordinating all project related activities; from definition, design, development to deployment stages.

System Design / Technical (60%)
  • Involves in designing, implementing and optimizing complex systems that drive technological innovations and business success.
  • Ensuring seamless collaboration with teams and contribute significantly to achieving company goals through efficient system integration.
  • Responsible for planning and executing projects, ensuring they meet technical requirements, timelines and budget constraints. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Analyse complex technical challenges, propose innovative solutions and optimize system performance and functionality in overcoming obstacles and ensuring system efficiency.
Customers (25%)
  • Manages customer interaction and expectations through regular updates of project status and communicate with customers on his needs and requests.
  • Coordinate with customers, end users, engineering consultants, certification bodies, suppliers, principals and etc. on
    - engineering designs,
    - documents /drawings submission and approval,
    - testing and commissioning schedule and job scope.
Internal Liaison (15%)
  • Work with the Service team in project executions; providing technical documents to enable them to perform testing, commissioning, repair and maintenance tasks locally / overseas, on-shore and offshore.
  • Advise Service Engineers on the system setup and functionality during IAT and FAT stages.
  • Be responsible for the tools and parts issued under his care.
  • Observe and implement the company EHS policy; ensure compliance with all safety policies, practices and procedures at all times.
  • Work within project deadlines and prioritizing tasks from time to time as scheduled.
  • Perform site testing and commissioning as required.
  • Any other duties assigned by immediate Superior.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
  • With technical knowledge in:
Position 1: Radio Communication

Technical knowledge in GMDSS / Microwave Radio System / SCADA Radio / Trunked Radio System
Crane Radio System / Radio Dispatch System / Satellite Telephone

Position 2: Security

Technical knowledge in Access Control System / CCTV System / Intrusion Detection System /
PABX (VoIP) / Person On Board (POB)

Position 3: Navigation Aid

Technical knowledge in Radar System / Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS) /
Auto Pilot / Automatic Identification System (AIS) / Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) /
Long Range Identification Tracking (LRIT) / Magnetic Compass / Gyrocompass / Echo Sounder /
Speed Log / Voyage Data Recorder / Sound Reception System / Navigation Light / Obstruction
Light / RACON System / Fog Horn / Air Whistle / Bridge Navigation Watch Alarm System (BNWAS) /

Position 4: Wired Communication

Technical knowledge in Public Address & General Alarm (PAGA) / Page Party System / Smart
Series / Driller / Talk Back System / PABX (Analog) / Sound Powered Telephone System

  • 1 to 4 years of experience in marine, shipyard, petrochemical, power plant, oil & gas or other harsh industries and as Lead Project Engineer with engineering background.
  • Able to lead a team of project engineers to meet various project schedule, costing, customer expectation etc.
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal skill; coordinate with inter-department head to achieve company goals.
  • Good project execution and management skill.
