Job summary

A marine engineering company in Singapore seeks a supervisor for steelworks. The role involves overseeing day-to-day activities, ensuring quality checks, and managing manpower. Candidates should have an NTC in Mechanical or Marine Engineering, preferably with 2-5 years of marine industry experience. Strong communication skills and proficiency in reporting tools are essential. The position offers a 5-day work week with working hours from 7.45am to 5pm.

Qualifications

• Preferably with 2-5 years’ working experience in marine related industry.
• Knowledge of ship repairs, steelworks, fabrication works, and NDT will be advantageous.
• Able to read drawings.

• Prepare, coordinate and monitor work schedule to achieve delivery deadlines.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Responsible for day to day steelworks supervision for preventive, corrective maintenance and modification of vessels
• Prepare, coordinate and monitor work schedule to achieve delivery deadline and targets
• Perform QC check on works
• Manage daily manpower deployment
• Perform site inspection and work discussion
• Preparation and submission of field reports / service acceptance to owner and SRM for approval
• Provide logistic support e.g indent of spares and follow up
• Maintain safe work practices

Requirements

• NTC, preferably in Mechanical or Marine engineering field
• Preferably with 2-5 years’ working experience in marine related industry
• Knowledge of ship repairs, steelworks, fabrication works and NDT will be advantageous
