Job summary

Surface Preparation Engineering Pte. Ltd. designs, manufactures, and markets machinery that clean and prepare metallic surfaces. Join as a Design Engineer to create innovative machinery designs using AutoCAD, collaborating with teams to ensure manufacturability, safety, and technical excellence.

You will develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings, refine designs for manufacturability and efficiency, and help maintain BOMs and documentation for project tracking.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD with familiarity in SolidWorks, Inventor or Fusion 360.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving applied to design challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings for fabrication and assembly to support production accuracy.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to refine designs for manufacturability and efficiency.
• Participate in concept development, layout planning, and continuous design improvement for new products.
• Ensure all drawings comply with technical specifications, safety standards, and customer requirements.
• Prepare and maintain documentation, BOMs, and revision control to support project tracking and quality.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or equivalent
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, with familiarity preferred in SolidWorks, Inventor, or Fusion 360
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills applied to design challenges
• Hands-on knowledge of fabrication and assembly processes considered an advantage
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple design projects simultaneously
