A tunneling engineering company in Singapore is seeking a skilled professional for E&M Works Coordination. The role requires managing all E&M systems related to tunnel works, supervising installation works, and ensuring compliance with standards. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, and a minimum of 7 years’ experience in tunnel construction. Familiarity with railway, metro, or road tunnel projects is preferred. Shift work is required, offering opportunities for professional growth in a dynamic environment.
Assist in managing all E&M systems related to tunnel works, including:
Power supply and distribution
Tunnel ventilation systems
Lighting systems
Fire detection and fire protection systems
SCADA, communication, and monitoring systems
Drainage and pumping systems
Coordinate E&M activities with civil, architectural, and track works to ensure smooth interface management.
Review E&M design drawings, specifications, and method statements.
Provide technical input and resolve E&M-related design and construction issues.
Assist in preparation and submission of technical documents to consultants and authorities.
Supervise E&M installation works on site to ensure compliance with approved drawings and standards.
Monitor construction progress and support the E&M Manager in achieving project milestones.
Identify potential delays and assist in implementing corrective actions.
Coordinate and supervise E&M subcontractors and suppliers.
Ensure subcontractor works comply with safety, quality, and contractual requirements.
Attend coordination meetings and provide updates on E&M progress and issues.
Assist in planning and execution of testing and commissioning activities for tunnel E&M systems.
Ensure proper documentation, test results, and as-built drawings are prepared.
Support system handover to the client and operations team.
Ensure E&M works comply with project specifications, authority requirements, and statutory regulations.
Assist in implementation of safety plans and risk assessments for E&M activities.
Participate in inspections, audits, and authority site visits.
Prepare progress reports, technical reports, and E&M-related correspondence.
Maintain proper records of drawings, inspections, tests, and approvals.
Good knowledge of tunnel E&M systems and construction practices.
Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and authority requirements.
Ability to review drawings and technical documents.
Proficient in MS Office; AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.
Able to work shift work, 12 hours shift, 6-day work week
