Overview

[What the role is] The Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA) is the training arm of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore. SAA provides specialized training to professionals in the Singapore aviation sector as well as the international aviation community. Key target groups include airport managers, aviation regulators and airline professionals. The SAA is undergoing a transformation of andragogy and learning spaces. In tandem, the School of Aviation Management within SAA is transforming its course portfolio and training methods to stay relevant to the needs of the ambitious and driven global aviation professional.

Reporting to the Head of School of Aviation Management, you will develop and manage a portfolio of general aviation management and topical training programmes, to position SAA as the premier global school for aviation leadership training. You will engage with customers to assess their training needs, forge partnerships with other leading education institutions and curate relevant and progressive flagship programmes that excite local and international trainees seeking personal growth and professional development.

What you will be working on

You must have strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a natural curiosity about the latest trends and shifts in international aviation. You must have tenacity to see through challenges and the maturity and confidence to interact with senior aviation professionals from around the world.

What we are looking for
  • At least 5-10 years of working experience in aviation industry or adult education management (preferably in air transport / airline / airport management)
  • Good knowledge on any specialised topic(s) in aviation management, preferably with personal work experience
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player, self-motivated, results-oriented
  • Note: SAA is located at 1 Aviation Drive, Singapore 499867 (near Changi Village)

Your appointment designation will commensurate with your relevant work experience. Successful candidates will be offered a 3-year contract in the first instance, and may be considered for placement on a permanent tenure or subsequent contract renewal.
