A community-focused organization in Singapore is seeking a team lead for employability and future-readiness initiatives. The candidate will be responsible for strategic planning, programme evaluation, and partnership development. This role demands strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, along with 6–8 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate is meticulous, resourceful, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, contributing to impactful community engagements.
The jobholder (2-year contract) is the team lead and supports the HOD on employability and future-readiness initiatives under the Professional Networks (PN). He/She is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation of programmes and engagements by PN that equip Malay/Muslim professionals and youth to be resilient, future-ready, and community-minded.
The role also involves driving engagement and growth across the networks, developing partnerships, and identifying and nurturing future community and industry leaders.
The jobholder is expected to work from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays and may be required to work over weekends and public holidays to support organisation events. Although the jobholder is largely expected to work in an indoor environment, occasional travel for meetings and programme visits is expected.
a. Drive the MENDAKI Professional Networks strategies by engaging and developing Malay/Muslim professionals and youths to support their educational and career aspirations, and groom the next generation of community and industry leaders.
b. Collaborate with partners and stakeholders — including M3 Towns, schools, and community organisations — to implement Future Ready programmes.
c. Represent the department and organisation in inter-agency committees and contribute to nationwide initiatives.
d. Work closely with MENDAKI’s key departments (e.g., Communications and Partnerships) to ensure alignment of messaging, branding, and workplan targets.
e. Establish and maintain strong relationships with new and existing partners to drive impactful programmes, explore new initiatives, and secure funding to sustain and expand network efforts.
a. Lead the planning and execution of key Future Ready initiatives and programmes for youth and professionals under the PN and YN platforms.
b. Oversee the coordination of resources, manpower, and materials to ensure effective delivery of programmes and provide secretariat support for the Professional Networks.
c. Evaluate the effectiveness of programmes through data collection, participant feedback, and impact assessment.
d. Review and recommend improvements to programmes to ensure relevance, quality, and responsiveness to the evolving needs of youth and PMETs.
e. Partner internal teams — including the Educational Financial Assistance, Youth Mentoring Office, Career Advancement, and Partnerships teams — to:
a. Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to the team to ensure strategic alignment and operational excellence.
b. Set clear performance goals, monitor progress, and provide developmental feedback to build high-performing teams.
c. Lead team’s forecasting, planning and budgeting activities to ensure optimal resource allocation and efficiency.
d. Oversee budget management, utilisation, and reporting for all team’s schemes and initiatives.
e. Foster a collaborative, innovative, and mission-driven team culture aligned with MENDAKI’s organisational values and strategic direction. Set goals and performance standards for direct reports.
