Job Summary
The jobholder (2‑year contract) leads MENDAKI’s efforts in enhancing its organisational capability and ensuring that supporting internal processes allow the organisation to operate smoothly. He is responsible for strategising and conceptualising plans for the organisation. The incumbent is expected to work from between 8:30 am and 6:00 pm on weekdays and may be required to work over weekends and public holidays to support the organisation's events. Although he/she is largely expected to work in an indoor environment, he/she is also expected to travel out of the office for meetings.
Key Responsibility Areas
Strategic Management
- Drive organisational development initiatives and effective performance consulting for both departmental and high‑level, enterprise‑wide projects and initiatives such as Governance Practices, Corporate Planning, Productivity, Knowledge and Data Management;
- Identify and network with potential and existing partners for collaboration on the provision of the organisation’s support services;
- Represent the organisation in joint committees and contribute to nation‑wide initiatives;
- Lead the strategic planning for the department’s various units and ensure a cohesive and harmonised approach to organisational excellence;
- Monitor policies, procedures, and training to ensure data privacy, confidentiality, and responsible data handling across the organisation;
- Support the preparation of agendas, meeting papers, presentations, and the Notes of Meeting (NOM) in consultation with the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCE) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Financial Planning and Management
- Lead the department’s forecasting and budgeting activities;
- Oversee the implementation budget plans to manage resource allocations to department’s programmes;
- Monitor department budget outcomes to ensure proper utilisation and accounting of resources.
Team Leadership and Management
- Set goals and performance standards for direct reports to be cascaded across centres;
- Mentor direct reports and provide feedback to support their personal and professional development;
- Conduct workforce planning and identify manpower needs in order to bolster the organisation’s core support services.
Requirements
- 5 – 7 years of relevant professional experience preferred.
- Degree in any relevant fields.
- Sound decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
- Demonstrable leadership competencies, team‑oriented, interpersonal skills, creative problem solving, results‑driven and meticulous.
- High level of organisational skills with an ability to work well under pressure.
- Meticulous and able to work under minimal supervision.
- Organised with good Communication and Interpersonal skills.
- Supervisory experience required.
