Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven leader to connect the dots between business goals and marketing strategies — driving revenue growth, strengthening brand presence, and expanding strategic partnerships to enhance Singapore EXPO's position within the MICE industry.

In this role, you will serve as the brand steward, leading a dynamic team of marketing and partnership managers to shape and execute integrated marketing and commercial development initiatives. Your focus will be to empower our venue sales teams and hirers with creative, results-driven, and impactful solutions that enable the delivery of innovative and successful events.

Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and implement integrated marketing and commercial strategies aligned with venue sales targets and business objectives, within approved budgets.
  • Identify emerging trends and evolving opportunities in the events sector to capture new business and strengthen client and partner retention.
  • Leverage on market intelligence, business insights, and analytics to inform strategy and measure success. Champion a user-first mindset, ensuring marketing and commercial activities align with the needs of event organisers, exhibitors, and visitors.
Marketing and Brand Development
  • Oversee all marketing campaigns, digital platforms, and content initiatives that position Singapore EXPO as the venue of choice for business and leisure events.
  • Drive public communication and brand identity through impactful and consistent storytelling across all owned/earned/paid channels - including social media, trade media, and international trade show activations.
  • Lead demand generation and performance marketing initiatives, tracking conversion funnels and ensuring a strong return on advertising spend (ROAS). Report on key performance metrics including lead generation, conversion rates, campaign ROI, and brand performance, using insights to guide continuous improvement.
Commercial Development
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive incremental revenue through collaboration with the venue sales team — promoting and upselling ancillary services such as advertising, culinary packages, and branded activations during the booking and event planning process.
  • Pursue and negotiate strategic partnerships with intellectual property (IP) owners, government agencies, creative producers, and brand licensors to bring pop-up exhibitions and experiential activations to the venue, driving new audience segments and revenue streams.
  • Strengthen partnerships with the venue's ecosystem - including F&B tenants, sustainability, hotels, mobility, and UX partners - to create expanded and relevant offerings that add value for event organisers and enhance the overall visitor experience.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field with at least 8 - 10 years of progressive experience in marketing and commercial development, including a minimum of 3 years in a team leadership role.
  • Proven success in developing and executing integrated marketing and brand strategies, with expertise in digital marketing, performance analytics, and social media strategy.
  • Commercially savvy and driven professional with a strong track record of driving business growth, building strategic partnerships, and delivering impactful marketing and commercial outcomes.
  • Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple teams and partners.
