Job description

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is Singapore’s central bank and integrated financial regulator.

As central bank, MAS promotes sustained, non-inflationary economic growth through the conduct of monetary policy and close macroeconomic surveillance and analysis. It manages Singapore’s exchange rate, official foreign reserves, and liquidity in the banking sector.

As an integrated financial supervisor, MAS fosters a sound financial services sector through its prudential oversight of all financial institutions in Singapore – banks, insurers, capital market intermediaries, financial advisors, and stock exchanges. It is also responsible for well-functioning financial markets, sound conduct, and investor education.

Job Description

You will be part of a team of finance professionals that provides household shared services. This includes managing payments and receipts, as well as the preparation and review of the Authority’s budget to achieve our strategic objectives. The team is also responsible for developing and implementing sound financial and budgetary control policies to promote financial prudence, and to ensure compliance with the government’s financial policies and procedures.

You will also participate in/lead initiatives for system testing, enhancements or integration, strengthening of internal controls and process improvements. You will also have opportunities to be involved in projects that support the Whole-of-Government digital transformation roadmap for finance.

Job Requirements

  • Relevant working experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and keen eye for details.
  • Efficient IT skills, preferably in MS Excel, Word and/or PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated and driven.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as in a team.
  • Knowledge of enterprise resource planning system (ERP) from SAP would be an advantage.
