Responsibilities
- Liaise with policyholders, intermediaries, investigators, surveyors, adjusters, lawyers, 3rd party claimants, sister companies, etc.
- Train and guide assistants in their support role.
- Manage and process claims expeditiously, professionally and equitably within agreed service benchmarks or applicable protocols.
- Ensure reserves are provided or updated in a timely and realistic manner.
- Add value to underwriters by advising them on issues discovered during claims handling such as gaps in policy wording and on risk improvement.
- Visit clients’ offices/attend MOM meetings/site inspection as and when required.
- Periodic review of files, as and when required.
- Ensure recovery claims are pursued and followed up periodically.
- Any other ad hoc duties assigned.
Requirements
- Min 1 year of relevant experience in handling Travel Claims.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Well versed in insurance principles.
- Possess good interpersonal and communication skills, able to multi‑task, is a team player; conscientious, tactful, customer‑focused and willing to learn new skills.
- Possess BCP, PGI, and ComGI certification (If the candidate does not have the cert, they will be required to take the Certificate In General Insurance (CGI) exam upon joining).
