Job summary

GOODWOOD PARK HOTEL SINGAPORE is seeking an experienced Engineering professional to lead the department and oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance activities across the hotel. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will supervise technicians, coordinate with other departments, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in hotel engineering operations, with 2–3 years in a similar capacity.
• Polytechnic Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services or equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan duty roasters, monitor technician punctuality, and arrange shift coverage during staff absences.
• Lead daily team briefing to distribute daily tasks and align the shift crew.
• Serve as the section head in the absence of the DOE/CE; stand in for the Maintenance Officer or Manager when needed.
• Plan and direct preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, work orders and special projects.
• Assist DOE and CE to coordinate the annual in-house maintenance programme.
• Oversee mechanical and electrical testing or commissioning as needed.
• Coordinate with other departments regarding maintenance and budget planning.
• Coach and guide staff and contractors to meet hotel standards in maintenance activities.
• Train staff on proper use and periodic maintenance of all equipment.
• Ensure maintenance staff wear proper uniform and uphold grooming and hygiene standards.
• Maintain safe hotel/work areas and ensure compliance to codes and safety equipment.
• Prepare reports as required by the Director of Engineering, Chief Engineer and Management.

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, your job responsibilities include, but not limited to:-

Responsibilities

• Assist DOE and CE to co-ordinates the annual in-house maintenance programme.




• Assist DOE and CE to oversee mechanical and electrical testing or commissioning as and when necessary.




• Assist DOE and CE to co-ordinate with other departments regarding maintenance and administration matters, including their budget plan for new/replacement of equipment, renovation, etc.




• Coach and guide staff and contractors to ensure that they are familiar and comply with the hotel standards in performing maintenance activities.




• Train staff on proper use and periodic maintenance of all equipment.




• Ensure maintenance staff are wearing proper uniform withname tagand upholdshotel’s grooming and hygiene standards.




• Ensure hotel and work areas are maintained to standard and that all safety equipment. and conditions are to code.




• Ensure proper records are kept relating to the hotel including repair and service records.




• Prepare reports as required by theDirector of Engineering, Chief Engineer and Management.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel engineering operations, with at least 2-3 years in a in similar capacity.




• At least a Polytechnic Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services or equivalent.




• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.




• Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering.




• Good communication (verbal and written) and good leadership skills.




• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
