Job summary

A leading audit and assurance firm in Singapore seeks a manager to oversee financial audits and lead teams. The ideal candidate has a Degree in Accountancy, CPA Singapore qualification, and 2-3 years of managerial experience. You will be responsible for audit planning, team training, and cultivating client relationships. Strong communication and project management skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years of related work experience in a managerial role.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Planning, supervision, management and review of statutory financial audit and other special audit engagements for a wide range of clientele from different industries.
  • Carry out audit reviews, organize audit results and highlight points for attention.
  • Provide training and coaching of audit seniors and assistants.
  • Manage assurance engagements by defining the audit strategy in consultation with the partner and execute it in compliance with the firm’s policies and protocols. When required, you’ll personally execute complex audit procedures and lead teams or parts of teams on engagements, depending on the size of the engagement.
  • Manage projects and engagements profitably by leading the team to perform efficiently.
  • Monitor the assurance team's progress against the plan and alter it when needed.
  • Cultivate and manage business development opportunities. Generate new business opportunities by understanding the services provided by our sister concerns and actively assess/present ways to apply knowledge and services.
  • Conduct timely performance reviews and provide performance feedback/on-the-job training and attain experiences that cultivate technical competencies.
  • Develop people by encouraging individuals to think for themselves and take responsibility for their contributions to the assurance team.

  • Develop and maintain long-term productive client relationships and networks.

Requirements
  • Must possess a Degree/Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Obtained or in the final stages of obtaining CPA Singapore qualification.
  • Working knowledge of CCH ProSystem FX audit software a strong advantage.
  • At least 2-3 years of related work experience in a managerial role
  • Possess strong communication, analytical and writing skills.
  • A mature team player with high degree of independence and good initiative.
  • Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication, and updating senior team members on progress.
  • Contribute ideas/opinions to the assurance teams and listen/respond to other assurance team members' views.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and competence in the audit client's environment.
  • Cultivate and manage business development opportunities. Generate new business opportunities by understanding the services provided by our sister concerns and actively assess/present ways to apply knowledge and services.
