Job summary

A leading firm in accounting services located in Singapore is seeking an experienced individual for a 1-year contract role focused on full sets of accounting, financial reporting, and compliance tasks. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in accountancy or finance and 2-3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a strong understanding of financial regulations are essential. This role is available to Singaporeans only.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in transaction accounting, financial controls, and reporting.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles.
• Experience in a fast-paced retail environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the monthly closing of full sets of accounts including GL, AP, AR, and Bank Reconciliation.
• Preparation of monthly financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of tax returns.

Job description

✔️ Position: 1 YEAR CONTRACT (renewable depending on performance & business needs)

✔️ Working location: Tai Seng Area

✔️ Mon to Fri 8.30am - 5.30pm

Job Duties:

• Responsible for the monthly closing of full sets of accounts covering GL, AP, AR and Bank Reconciliation.
• Preparation of monthly financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Prepare quarterly GST filing activities, reconciliation and overall tax compliance.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of tax returns.
• Assist in annual audit.
• Ensure internal control policies and procedures are in compliance with Company policies and FRS.
• Identify areas to be improved and initiate good accounting control procedures and best practices to improve work efficiency.
• Additional ad hoc assignments as required.

Requirement:

• Diploma in Accountancy or Finance or other related qualifications
• Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in handling transactions accounting, financial controls and reporting
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong understanding in financial regulations, accounting principles and financial analysis
• Experience in fast-paced retail environment is a plus
