Job summary

A finance and accounting services firm in Singapore seeks a qualified Finance Manager to oversee financial operations, maintain accounts, and ensure accurate reporting. Candidates should possess a Diploma/Degree in Finance/Accounting and have at least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in construction or Oil and Gas. Proficiency in SAP is an advantage.

  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in a similar role.
  • Willing to work in the Tuas area.
  • Experience in construction or Oil and Gas will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain books of accounts for all companies under the Group.
  • Posting of all accounting entries related to income, expense as well as journals as required.
  • Oversee and maintain cashflow. Review the system for invoicing, tracking payments as well as aging analysis of outstanding AP/AR.
  • Ensure inter-company accounts are balanced and reconciled.
  • Management of Budget, Forecast/reforecast, variance reporting & commentaries.
  • Perform analysis of departmental P&L and annual budgets.
  • Oversee year-end procedures – accruals, prepaids, receivables and payables; any other journals as required.
  • Financial year-end preparation of accounts for audit. Liaise with Auditors to ensure clean signoff. Follow up on closing any audit gaps.
  • Initiate tax planning, GST reporting and oversee periodical tax filings.
  • Work closely with the respective business units to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the Group consolidation.
  • Prepare monthly, yearly, adhoc and consolidated reports.
  • Other ad hoc assignments.
  • To be proactive in creating a safe working environment for everyone and ensuring that HSE inhouse rules are observed at all times.
  • To consider HSE aspects when planning and carrying out tasks to eliminate and reduce HSE hazards, aspects and risks.
Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Finance/Accounting or Professional Accounting Qualification.
  • At least 5 years relevant working experience in the same capacity.
  • Proficient in SAP will be an added advantage.
  • Meticulous and keen eye for details; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Committed, confident personality with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and work within required deadline.
  • Working experience in construction or Oil and Gas environment will be an added advantage.
  • Willing to work in Tuas area.
