Makegood Builders Pte Ltd is seeking a competent Account Assistant to support the company’s accounting and finance operations. The role requires hands‑on experience in Singapore accounting practices, monthly closing, statutory compliance, and coordination with external parties. The candidate will work closely with management to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and account reconciliations
  • Assist in maintaining full set of accounts, including general ledger, AP, and AR
  • Ensure timely collections and payments
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly
  • Process supplier invoices, payments, and staff claims with proper supporting documentation
  • Accurately record, reconcile, and report sales transactions, ensuring alignment with financial policies and revenue recognition standards
  • Prepare and present financial reports related to budgeting and sales performance for management and stakeholders.
  • Support month‑end and year‑end closing, including preparation of schedules
  • Assist in payroll processing, including CPF computation and submissions
  • Maintain fixed assets register and inventory records
  • Monitor and analyse cost structures, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure all financial activities adhere to company policies, legal requirements, and accounting standards.
  • Handle GST reporting and submissions, including preparation of GST schedules and reconciliation to accounting records.
  • Perform other finance and accounting duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in Singapore
  • Experience supporting full‑set accounts and statutory reporting
  • Proficient in accounting software such as MYOB, QuickBooks, UBS
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Google sheets
  • High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and meet reporting deadlines
