Job summary

sggovterp is seeking a Data Scientist / Data Analytics Engineer focused on asset management data & analytics. You will design data pipelines, ensure data quality, and translate data needs into analytics solutions to support rail asset management decisions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across LTA and rail operators, building analytics capabilities and dashboards to drive insights and improve asset performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in data-related field or engineering with strong data analytics foundation.
• Experience in data engineering and data analytics an asset.
• Proficiency with Python, SQL, ETL tools and data visualization platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to collect, process, and transform asset-related data for engineering and analytics use cases.
• Ensure data integrity, quality, and accessibility by implementing best practices in data engineering.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate data requirements into technical specifications for analytics projects.
• Develop data models and analytics frameworks to support asset performance insights.
• Create dashboards and visualizations to communicate asset performance metrics to stakeholders.
