Job description
About Micron

Micron is a global leader in memory and storage solutions. Through our brands — Micron, Crucial, and Ballistix — we deliver technology that powers everything from smartphones to data centers. As part of our commitment to developing future talent, we’re offering this opportunity under the WSG Graduate Industry Traineeship (GRIT) program.

Program Overview

This traineeship is designed for graduates who are curious about how machines and equipment are used in high-tech manufacturing. You’ll be part of a supportive team, receive hands‑on training, and work alongside experienced engineers and technicians.

No engineering or technical background? No problem — Micron welcomes graduates from all disciplines, and full training will be provided.

As a Trainee, You Will Be Trained On:
  • Understanding daily instructions from your supervisor and learning how to plan and carry out your tasks.
  • Helping to keep machines running smoothly by cleaning, checking, and doing basic maintenance.
  • Learning to spot when a machine is not working properly and helping to fix it with guidance.
  • Recording machine updates and following step‑by‑step instructions to make sure everything is done safely and correctly.
  • Watching how machines perform and noticing when something seems off or needs attention.
  • Looking at simple data to understand how well machines are working and sharing what you find with your team.
  • Talking with engineers, technicians, and production staff to share updates and ask questions.
  • Helping out when production teams need support or when something urgent comes up.
  • Joining improvement projects to make machines work better or faster.
  • Supporting engineers when they test new ideas or try out new equipment.
  • Learning basic ways to figure out why something went wrong and how to prevent it from happening again.
Who We’re Looking For
  • Graduates with a Diploma, Higher Nitec, or Nitec from a local institution.
  • No engineering or STEM background required — we welcome applicants from all fields of study.
  • Curious, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast‑paced, high‑tech environment.
  • A team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude.
