Job summary

A leading technology company in Singapore is seeking a maintenance engineer responsible for all machine and process-related maintenance activities, including troubleshooting and improvement tasks. Candidates must have a relevant engineering diploma and experience with PLCs and automation systems. This role includes working a rotating 12-hour shift and requires a positive attitude towards challenges. Competitive remuneration is provided.

Qualifications

  • NITEC or higher in relevant engineering field.
  • Knowledge of PLC and automation systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Functional Relationships with: Manufacturing, QAQC, PPE, Procurement.

POSITION PROFILE:

Based in: Singapore
Job site: Tuas

The successful candidate will: In-charge or support all machine and process related, maintenance activities like troubleshooting, improvement, evaluation, maintenance planning, maintenance procedure & report.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform or support machine maintenance as plan, on production equipment, electrical panels and automation system.
  • Perform periodic PM activities, to maintain Slipring, Vision System & Program Backup.
  • Analyse trouble causes (use PLC datalogger, simulation tool), propose counter measure and implementation.
  • Perform or support machine model change, machine and quality confirmation after model change.
  • Periodically spare part stock take and ordering to ensure sufficient parts to maintain continuing running of machines.
  • Perform good 5S and housekeeping practice at the assigned areas and machines.
  • Ensure activity compliance to applicable codes, practices, QAQC policies, performance standards, specifications and maintain process ISO system.
ABILITY/COMPETENCY REQUIRED
  • NITEC/Higher NITEC/Work Study Diploma in Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and relevant field.
  • Knowledge in Mitsubishi PLC, Proface HMI, Keyence Vision system would be advantage.
  • Able to perform hands on job.
  • Able to write analysis/trouble using Excel/PowerPoint.
  • Able to work in rotating 12hrs shift.
  • Able to accept urgent call back when necessary.
  • Positive attitude in a challenging work environment.
