Job summary

Woodward Control Solutions Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a hands-on technician to disassemble products, perform packing, and support field service tasks such as governor installation on ships.

Qualifications

• Understands and follows basic technical instructions and SOPs.
• Identifies gaps to standard and escalates as needed.

• Assemble and test products and set up equipment.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble products following documented procedures with specified tools.
• Pack and unpack products safely as required by customers.
• Perform field service tasks including governor removal/installation on ships.
• Conduct inspections and tests to verify product accuracy and functionality.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness; store tools and materials properly.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements; promote safe work area.

Key Responsibilities:Disassemble Product: Follows documented procedures to accurately and efficiently disassemble product components using specified tools and equipment.Packing & Unpacking: Pack all products as per required by customers safely and securely.Field Service: Removal and Installation of governors on board the ship.Quality: Conducts inspections and tests to verify the accuracy and functionality of products and records and maintains data per operating standards.Organization & Cleanliness: Adheres to 5S principles by keeping workstations clean, organized, and free of unnecessary items. Follows established guidelines to ensure tools, materials, and equipment are properly stored and maintained.Safety Mindset: Adheres to all established safety protocols, procedures, and regulatory requirements; maintains mindfulness of self and surrounding work area to promote a safe working environment.Key Skills:Technical Capability: Understands and follows basic technical instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).Critical Thinking: Identifies gap-to-standard and resolves or escalates them per standard processes/procedures.Mechanical Aptitude: Demonstrates basic understanding of mechanical systems and components.
