The ASRS Integration Engineer is responsible for developing and integrating software solutions for Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role focuses on real-time system integration, material handling automation, and seamless connectivity between ASRS equipment, factory control systems, and MES/ERP platforms to ensure reliable and efficient material flow.
Develop software interfaces for high-capacity ASRS handling raw materials and finished goods
Integrate ASRS units with factory control systems, MES, and ERP for real-time inventory updates
Implement and maintain real-time control logic for material handling equipment such as conveyors, lifters, and pallet systems
Handle equipment commands, acknowledgements, and low-latency data exchange with ASRS controllers
Ensure reliable and accurate inventory movements and retrieval requests between ASRS and production lines
Optimize throughput, reliability, and performance of automated storage and retrieval operations
Collaborate with manufacturing, warehouse, automation, and IT/OT teams to support production needs
Troubleshoot and resolve ASRS integration, software, and communication issues in a live factory environment
Support testing, commissioning, and deployment of ASRS-related software changes
Maintain technical documentation, integration specifications, and operational procedures
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in software development or system integration for industrial or manufacturing automation
Proven experience delivering production-critical software or integration projects
Experience working with factory IT/OT systems in high-volume manufacturing environments
Experience integrating ASRS or warehouse automation systems into manufacturing operations
Proficiency in real-time software development (e.g. C#/.NET, Java)
Experience interfacing with equipment controllers and handling low-latency data exchange
Knowledge of systems integration with MES/ERP for real-time inventory transactions
Knowledge of PLC communication and industrial protocols (OPC UA, Modbus, etc.)
Understanding of warehouse operations and material flow optimization
Experience improving automation efficiency and system reliability
